The short version: we're a cash-pay retailer. We don't bill Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance.
We want to be upfront about this before you spend time shopping, because it genuinely matters for some buyers.
What that means
We're not a Medicare-accredited DMEPOS supplier. We can't submit claims, and we can't provide the documentation an insurer would need to reimburse you. Purchases here are paid directly by you.
Why some people prefer buying this way
- Selection. Insurance covers a narrow list of approved models. Cash-pay means you choose the equipment that fits your life — including the lightweight travel scooter or the lift chair in the fabric you actually want.
- Speed. Insurance-covered equipment can take months between the doctor's visit, prior authorization, and supplier scheduling. We measure delivery in weeks.
- No paperwork. No prescriptions to chase, no prior authorizations, no denials to appeal.
- Ownership. It's yours outright — not rented, not capped-rental, not subject to a supplier's terms.
If insurance coverage matters to you
Then a Medicare-accredited supplier is genuinely your better path, and we'll tell you that on the phone. Start with Medicare's supplier directory at medicare.gov/medical-equipment-suppliers, or ask your doctor's office for a local DME provider.
One thing worth knowing: Medicare generally does not cover mobility scooters intended primarily for use outside the home, and it doesn't cover lift chairs — it may cover only the lifting mechanism, not the chair. Many people discover this partway through the process. If you're in that position, cash-pay isn't a compromise; it's usually the only route.
